]]> The mysticism of Stephen King: “It is an opportunity to immerse yourself in one of the most terrifying and fascinating stories of modern literature. Stephen King knows how to skillfully manipulate our fears, turning them into something that leaves a deep mark on the imagination. “It is not just a story about a terrible monster, but a psychological drama that reveals the deepest fears that lie within each of us. Together we will look at two adaptations of this cult book, compare them and try to understand why King is so skillful at stirring up horror in his readers. We will also discuss character development, themes of childhood and adult fears, and try our hand at writing our own scary stories.

Format: Discussion of the book and screening of two adaptations (1990 and 2017).

What to expect:

Topic: “Why does King know how to scare so well?”

Discussion about character development and deep symbols of fear in the novel.

Master class: “How to create your own scary story.

These meetings will help participants dive into different genres, analyze deep themes, and simply enjoy their favorite stories in the company of like-minded people.
